Okay! Here are some ideas for gifts to get Erin for Christmas. First, you can always view Erin's Amazon.com wishlist by clicking here. Below the next paragraph is a list of specific ideas.
Now for the important part. If one of these gifts has been purchased, it will be struck through like so. If you're planning to get one of these items, or have purchased one of these items, please go to the very bottom of the page. There you'll find a form where you can e-mail me (David) and let me know which gift you have purchased or are planning to purchase. Based on the feedback I get, I'll edit the list below, so you can be sure you're not getting something that's already been purchased. Also, be sure that the form you use below is supposed to be sent to me, David, and not to Erin (so don't use it to send info about my gifts!).
Preface
Just so you know, there's an off off chance that Erin and I will be purchasing a condo before Christmas. If this happens, you can pretty much throw our entire Christmas list out, as everything we'll want will be house-related. This is just something to note and remember. If we do end up moving, I'm sure you'll hear about it, of course, but I wanted to warn early Christmas shoppers.
General Ideas
- iPad: The iPad has replaced the Kindle in Erin's esteem. She would absolutely love one, and would make good use of it, but it's a spicy meatball (starting at $499). She definitely wants one, though.
- The Limited Gift Card: I know I already mentioned it on the first page, but what Erin really wants (for herself) is new clothes. Any clothing place you think will have clothing she'd like would make a great gift, but I know she loves The Limited.
Home
- Screen Door: Erin would really like a screen door for the main entryway door.
- Miniature, Handheld Broom: We have a regular-sized broom, but Erin wants a smaller one for smaller jobs.
- Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Bath Scrubber: She saw the commercial and really wants one...
Umbra Aquala Bathtub Caddy: Erin really wants one of these.Deep Water Bath: Erin takes baths a lot, and this helps you fill the tub a little fuller.Turns out our new place doesn't have an emergency overflow hole! I didn't think that was possible... Anyway, its presence obviates the need for this item.Topsy-Turvy Upside-Down Tomato Planter: This has received very mixed reviews, but it's cheap, and if it works for even one season of tomato planting, it's worth it. Erin would really like to try it out.- Rotary Cutter: Erin needs a new one of these for quilting.
- Storage Seat: Probably for the patio.
- Bath Pillow: Erin really wants a bath pillow (she likes to read in the tub). I've linked to one, but I'm not sure. Lots of these bath pillows are getting bad reviews for air leaking, the suction cups not working, etc. It seems hit or miss. I haven't myself entered the bath pillow market, though, so it's hard for me to give an opinion. She would really like one, though.
- Decore: We want it. It's expensive. What can we do...?
Movies
Jeeves and Wooster: The Complete Series: Erin's wanted this for quite some time, and who could blame her? The only bad thing about this series is that it didn't last as long as it should have. (Well, that and Season 4...)V for Vendetta: Erin loves this movie.30 Rock: Season 2: Great show.- I <3 Huckabees: Erin's really taken a shine to this movie.
Howl's Moving Castle: You can't go wrong with Miyazaki.Futurama, Vol. 3- Futurama, Vol. 4
- Futurama, Vol. 5
- Futurama, Vol. 6
Music
- Mandala by Kitaro: Erin's a big fan of Kitaro.
Books
- Needlepoint or Quilting Books: I have no specific suggestions, and don't really know what's good or useful and what isn't... I recommend asking Jolyn (Erin's mother) or Grandma Ishii (Steve's mother) for suggestions.
Electronics
- Toaster: I'm not sure what kind Erin wants, but she wants a new toaster. She doesn't want a fancy one: just something to toast bread.
Computer-Related
Plants vs. Zombies: This is a game that Erin played a little bit of and absolutely loves, but she couldn't justify the expense (though it's only $20).
